RMT to ballot over Tube pay

RATES OF PAY & CONDITIONS OF SERVICE 2025 - LONDON UNDERGROUND (LUL/0001)

Further to my previous Circular (IR/179/25, 14th May 2025), I advised LUL of the dispute situation over breaches of the 2023 and 2024 agreements and the failure to table a 2025 pay offer. Talks with the Company took place on Wednesday 28th May but no pay offer was forthcoming. LUL also stated that a reduction in the working week is not on the table, there is no progress on the extension of Priv travel and no proposal regarding converting any banded salary range into a spot salary.

ABM Pay Claim 2025

RATES OF PAY & CONDITIONS OF SERVICE 2025 - ABM (LU CLEANING CONTRACT) (LUL/0001/ABM)

In line with Union policy, a claim was submitted for a substantial increase in rates of pay and improvements to conditions of service. The Lead Officer has submitted a report, along with correspondence from ABM, stating it is unwilling to discuss our pay claim as members have already received an increase this year in line with the London Living Wage uplift.

RMT demands minimum £15 an hour for Sodexo members on TfL

RMT - Sodexo Latest Bulletin

RMT has recently submitted a pay claim to Sodexo, which holds the outsourced catering contract for TfL.

The main elements in the claim are:

  • A minimum wage of £15/hour for all staff
  • A specific increase for supervisory grade staff to reflect their additional responsibilities
  • An increasing in the staffing level to minimise lone working

ABM LU Electrical Contract pay update

RATES OF PAY & CONDITIONS OF SERVICE 2025 - ABM (LU ELECTRICAL CONTRACT) (LUL/0001/ABM(E))

In line with Union policy, a claim was submitted for a substantial increase in rates of pay and improvements to conditions of service. Talks have taken place with the Company and the offer which has been received is as follows:

Option One

A 3.4% increase from 1st April 2025

Option Two

A 3% increase from 1st March 2025

The next pay anniversary date would be 1st April 2026, based on either option.

RATES OF PAY & CONDITIONS OF SERVICE 2024 - LONDON UNDERGROUND

As you know, industrial action had been scheduled to take place throughout next week.

Tube pay strike details announced

RMT members on London Underground will take strike action after rejecting a pay offer deemed wholly inadequate.

While some progress was made in negotiations, the current proposal leaves a large number of staff excluded from collective bargaining, which remains a core issue for the union.
