INDUSTRIAL ACTION SUSPENDED

Dear RMT Member

RATES OF PAY & CONDITIONS OF SERVICE 2024 - LONDON UNDERGROUND

As you know, industrial action had been scheduled to take place throughout next week.

However, further negotiations have taken place this week and a revised offer has been received. I can advise you that this revised offer means all the issues surrounding pay banding are now off the table and the fresh proposal means that ALL RMT members at London Underground would receive the full pay increase consolidated into their salary.

It is the threat of your industrial action which has pushed management to that position.

Your union's National Executive Committee has considered the matter and taken on board the views of your representatives that the offer as it stands is enough to suspend the industrial action which was due to take place next week and I would instruct all members to work as normal until further notice.

I would like to make it clear that the offer has not been accepted and neither has the dispute been called off. The action has merely been suspended to allow for further talks to take place on pay, and these discussions will convene again next week.

I would like to thank all RMT members at London Underground for getting management to see sense on the pay banding concerns many of you had.

As I say above, you are therefore instructed to work as normal next week, and I shall update you on further developments as they arise.

Thank you for your continued support.

Yours sincerely,

Michael Lynch
General Secretary
