Branch Organising Day

Just a reminder that the Neasden Branch will be holding an organising event tomorrow morning (20th September) before the branch meeting. The day will commence at Harrow on the Hill at 11.00am, then move on to other locations in order to boost the union profile and to recruit new members. Please make every effort to attend.

Advice on dealing with suspect packages

**URGENT ADVISE FOR ALL RMT MEMBERS ON LONDON UNDERGROUND & TfL!**

SUSPECT PACKAGES

RMT consider it important to note that there has been no changes to Government guidance around HOT procedures, and instructing staff to open or tamper with suspicious packages is contrary to CURRENT Government guidance and may put staff and the travelling public in serious and imminent danger.

The current Government guidance advises that if, after following the HOT protocol a member of staff considers an object to be suspect, they should take the following actions in this order:

Rail union RMT responds to London Overground ticket office and staffing proposals

Responding to London Overground ticket office and staffing proposals plans, RMT General Secretary Mick Cash said;

"RMT is deeply concerned about the proposals which in our view could see the elimination of ticket offices across London Overground. Our experience in the past shows that, despite promises to the contrary, the closure of ticket offices leads to the wholesale destafiing of stations with serious consequences for safety and security.
