The olympic deal and what it means to you.

This document outlines what LUL want you to give up and how it would affect you personally. Please feel free to download and print to distribute to members.

Our framework is NOT for sale.

LU’s Olympic Offer what it means to you.

London Underground’s insult of an offer for ‘Rewarding’ its station staff during the Olympics in return for selling out our framework is a disgrace, and below is how it would impact on you.

• A breakdown on the offer would see you only receiving up to £400 based on the number of shifts worked at £20 per shift.
• The £100 CSS bonus is not in addition to the usual CSS it only replaces the existing period 2 bonus, just with a different measuring criteria.
• Lastly the £350 which is on the table relates to you the individual giving up your rights within the framework agreement inc. unpaid meal reliefs taken on site, rostered duties changed by more than 2 hours and the location changed to any station on your group with hardly no notice given and SRT staff covering rostered duties all of which are forbidden under our frameworks.

All of this is before tax and the £100 CSS (if attained) would not be payable until April 2013!

LU has stated that any Olympic offer would only apply to the Olympic period, but having seen the plans outlined in last years leaked document your Union believes that this is a precursor for more staff cuts following the Olympics and we need to make a stand now.

LU are already trying to rip up the agreement made in 2008 regarding staffing on the ex Silverlink stations so why should we believe them now when they say that they will honour any Olympics deal?

More information on this and other Olympic issues can be obtained from your local rep or visiting the RMT Platform & RMT London Calling websites.
