REDUNDANCIES, STATION ADMIN STAFF – LONDON UNDERGROUND

We note the resolution from our East Ham Branch and the effect the admin staff reductions will have on our Members.

We instruct the General Secretary to arrange a meeting of all our senior IR Reps affected along with the Lead Officer; Senior Assistant General Secretary and NEC and
to launch a campaign to completely oppose these cuts.

London Underground Branches and the London Transport Regional Council to be advised.

We note the serious safety concerns in the resolution from our East Ham Branch; and instruct the General Secretary to call a meeting of H&S Reps from affected
lines/stations, the Lead Officer/Relief Lead Officer, Senior Assistant General Secretary and NEC.

Relevant branches and the London Transport Regional Council to be advised.

BREAKDOWN IN INDUSTRIAL RELATIONS, TRAIN OPERATORS, PICCADILLY LINE - LONDON UNDERGROUND (LUL/14/2)

Further to my previous Circular (IR/168/18, 28th March 2018) a resolution was also received from our Finsbury Park Branch and this matter has been considered by the National Executive Committee, which noted the views of Reps at the meeting held on Monday 23rd April and a report from the Lead Officer.

INTRODUCTION OF WTT15 - TRAIN OPERATORS - JUBILEE LINE, LONDON UNDERGROUND (LUL/14/2)

The following resolution has been received from our Neasden Branch:-

“This branch notes that London Underground is proposing to introduce Working Timetable 15 from 20th May 2018.

Following a recent schedules meeting and scrutiny by our representatives it became clear that the introduction of WTT15 would increase the volume of weekend working which is in breach of the pay dispute resolution agreement dated 21st May 2016.

Dear member,

As we previously reported, your RMT reps rejected the new duty schedules for timetable 15 as they include an increase in weekend working. This matter was then taken up by RMT Trains Functional Council Reps with senior London Underground management. However, LU announced they would breach the 2015 pay deal and impost their new duty sheets on us.

The negative impact of our duty schedules is not a concern for our bosses as they don’t have to deal with thousands of passengers, do shifts, or work weekends. But for us on the front line, that is our lives. 

Your union recently exposed a serious breach of data protection by London Underground, whereby historic, and some current, information relating to case conferences, disciplinaries, sickness records, etc., for all station groups and train depots across the combine may have been accessible to a significantly greater number of individuals than those who legitimately needed to access it, via a shared “ESISHARE” drive accessible to CSS and CSM-grade staff logged into OneLondon.

This is an open letter from station staff RMT members to our support staff (AG1’s in old money).

We have become increasingly concerned at the proposals you are facing as part of LU’s so-called Transformation. We ourselves have just been dragged through the lunacy of Fit for the Future: Stations, and we always knew that when LU had finished with us, other groups of LU staff would likely come under the cosh.

RMT response to Victoria station staff incident yesterday ( Tuesday 10th April ) where a member of staff was pushed onto the track

Tube union RMT has reacted with shock and horror to yesterday's incident at Victoria station where a member of staff was pushed onto the track.

The union says that tube staff play a vital role in moving London around and are the unsung hero’s of the capital and that no corners should be cut when it comes to safety.
