That we note the report from our Lead Officer regarding the unsatisfactory situation for our Victoria Line Train Operators; and we instruct the General Secretary to arrange an urgent meeting of our Victoria Line Representatives, Trains Functional Council with the Lead Officer, Senior Assistant General Secretary and NEC in attendance.

This employment tribunal decision which states 'release for health and safety reps cannot be refused for operational reasons' is an excellent victory for the RMT and the wider trade union movement.

That this NEC congratulates the steadfast resolve and industrial strength of our Fleet members, representatives, activists, our LU Fleet Branch which has enabled our Negotiations Team, the Lead Officer & Senior Assistant General Secretary to secure the complete withdrawal of all the company’s proposals to extend train preparation ahead of the 3 day strike set to begin 7am this coming Friday morning.
