To All Probationers and Apprentices Employed by LUL - Our Ref : LUL/14/2 - 19th May 2009

    Dear Colleague,

    Current Dispute with London Underground.

As you know we are currently balloting all LUL members for strike action and action short of a strike over the company’s refusal to make a reasonable offer on pay, breaches of long standing agreements and their proposals to make up to 3000 staff redundant.

'RMT London Calling' May 2009 - Vote Yes for Jobs, Pay and Justice

The new issue of 'RMT London Calling' urges all members on TfL and London Underground (including ex-Metronet) to vote Yes in the re-ballot for industrial action to defend jobs, pay and justice. It takes an indepth look at the issues and answers management's propaganda.

'RMT London Calling' also reports on the Victoria line dispute, DLR workers' fight against imposed rosters, and other RMT activities in the London Transport region.

Please distribute it widely around workplaces. Click '1 attachment'/file name to download it.

VICTORIA LINE DISPUTE - management resorts to rumours, gossip and censorship

Like school yard bullies who have been given a bloody nose, managers at Seven Sisters who have for so long pushed our members around and made their lives hell, are now licking their wounds. Rather than waking up and treating you with the respect you deserve, they have been busy spreading rumours and trying to break your resolve; see Frequently Asked Questions below for a full response on some of the nonsense they have been coming out with.

BALLOT PAPERS GO OUT THURSDAY 14TH MAY
Voting closing on Thursday 28th May

After having a massive democratic YES vote for strike action discounted by management; RMT is to re-ballot nearly 10,000 members across London Underground and Transport for London for strike action around disputes centred on jobs, pay and breaches of disciplinary and attendance agreements.

    Re-Ballot Leaflet

RMT are to re-ballot all London Underground & Transport for London Members following management running to un-elected lawyers to find spurious legal loopholes to deny you your right to protest against their appalling pay offer, their intention to bring in compulsory redundancies and their victimisation of union activists & reps.
