Following the suspension of safety reps (Jim Harrington and Clive Steadman's) email facilities on London Underground, the Stations & Revenue Safety Council has produced an open letter to all Health & Safety reps. Please click on the attachment to download a copy.
Drivers on the Bakerloo Line are shocked and angry at management's sacking of Kevin Dobinson. Kevin was summarily dismissed last Thursday.
THE TUBE’S biggest union today declared an overwhelming mandate for strike action in ballots of members across London Underground and Transport for London in two separate disputes centred on jobs, pay and working conditions.
On London Underground the result was 2810 for strike action and 488 against. On TfL the result was 60 in favour and 15 against. Separate ballots on action short of a strike showed even higher numbers in favour.
RMT have announced strike action which will commence at 18.59 hours on Tuesday 9th June through to 18.58 hours on Thursday 11th June 2009.
As part of last years dispute it was agreed that traffic hour supervision would be in place on the Wembley central group by the end of April 2009......well that date has now been and gone and there are no Super's in place yet?
Question to RMT head office what is this Union doing about this?? Surely we are considering at the least to take this to ACAS.

GSM Simon Jones (Charing Cross) and GSM Stacey McManus (Wembley Central) have virtually no experience of operating in our industry and their management of both groups over the last year goes a long way in proving their incompetence. Performance manager Dave Proffit appears to have far too much involvement on all the groups and many staff members and reps are of the opinion that the GSM's don't lead their groups its Dave Proffit.
