RMT accepts Central Line TMR proposal

HEAVY OVERHAUL PROGRAMME LIFT (HOPL), CENTRAL LINE – LONDON UNDERGROUND (LUL/15/4)

A proposal was recently received from LUL which has been produced following a series of discussions and negotiations at Fleet Functional Council. It covers those members currently employed on fixed term contracts in Train Maintainer (TM) and Advanced Train Maintainer (ATM) grades on the Central Line Heavy Overhaul Programme Lift (HOPL) Project.

Further to my previous Circular (IR/299/15, 4th December 2015) there remains a number of areas of concern over London Underground’s Fit for the Future Stations (FFFS) proposals and the Lead Officer has written to LUL seeking assurances that there will be no imposition of a new framework agreement, that staff will not be forced to sign new contracts and that rosters will not be imposed. At the time of writing we have not yet received a response from LUL.

Further to my previous Circular (IR/243/15, 13th October 2015) the RMT negotiating team met the Company on Tuesday 22nd December and a revised and improved offer was received which includes a payment to address the pay differentials, certain tasks to be performed by Security staff and a commitment from the Company to continue talks with RMT into 2016 to discuss any other matters of concern.

Further to my previous Circular (IR/098/15, 10th April 2015), further discussions took place at Company Council. The Lead Officer recently submitted a report advising that since October, management has employed new entrants without the 4 rest days and anyone who transfers to a new position through promotion or different type of jobs are also not getting the 4 rest days.

Night Tube Talks ACAS Update

LUL Pay and Night tube update acas talks 10th November 2015 Today our delegation met the company for the first time since October 14th. No revised offer was made with regards to pay and conditions However the company have said that they are prepared to move away from the interim arrangements and revise it to the long term solution on night tube .

RMT accepts Power Distribution Group Framework Agreement

FRAMEWORK AGREEMENT FOR THE POWER DISTRIBUTION GROUP – LONDON UNDERGROUND (LUL/0005)

Following many months of talks with LUL, it has now tabled a new Framework Agreement for the Power Distribution Group which will be applicable to all new staff and for existing staff that choose to take a new grade or accept the new contract. Existing staff can remain on their existing terms and conditions if they wish.

Further to my previous Circular (IR/256/15, 22nd October 2015), where I informed you that the Union would be conducting a referendum amongst our Train Operator and Instructor Operator members over discussions regarding trial arrangements for a 36 hour 4 day week at two depots.
