Interim Transfer and Promotion Process

The recent letters sent out by LUL  to  all stations staff who are presently shown as either " Over-Established" or " Covering- Down" at their current locations is for reference purposes only and no member of staff should take any further action on it. The Stations Functional Council is currently still in a formal process of negotiation with LUL over a possible agreed Interim Transfer and Promotion Process and, until this has been officially signed off by the RMT, they should disregard any communications received from LUL Management.

Victoria Line Night Tube Ballot Called Off

NIGHT RUNNING – LONDON UNDERGROUND (LUL/15/4)

Further to my previous Circular (IR/200/16, 19th July 2016), I informed the Company of the dispute situation between us over the proposed rosters for Victoria Line Train Operator and Instructor Operator members. Since then, further meetings have taken place with the Company and RMT Reps. LUL has offered an additional review of the new rosters after eight weeks although Reps can also continue to raise any immediate concerns in the usual way.

Demo: London living wage for London Transport Museum cleaners and porters!

Cleaners and porters at London Transport Museum are only on the minimum wage of £7.20 an hour, despite workers in the rest of Transport for London being paid at least the London Living Wage of £9.40 an hour. Museum management told local TSSA and RMT reps that they would pay the London Living Wage a year ago but still haven't done so.

The following resolution was recently received from our Finsbury Park Branch:-

“Finsbury Park Branch resolves to request an immediate ballot for strike action and action short of strike action of all our Victoria Line Train Operator members to resist the imposition of new duty rosters in connection with the start of night tube on 19thAugust.

Central Line East branch prepares to defend tube drivers who face forced depot move

RATES OF PAY & CONDITIONS OF SERVICE AND NIGHT RUNNING – LONDON UNDERGROUND (LUL/0001)

Further to my previous Circular (IR/051, 3rd March 2016), the following resolution has been received from Central Line East Branch:-

“This Branch intends to defend our Train Operators in our area who are threatened with being unjustly displaced to other depots around the combine in breach of the Pay and Night Tube dispute settlement.

Tube Lines strike ballot prepared over abuse of SPAD management procedure

DISCIPLINARY/SPAD PROCEDURE, SHUNTERS – TUBE LINES AP JNP (LUL/4/4)

Further to my previous Circular (IR/133/16, 5th May 2016), members will recall the resolution from LU Fleet Branch concerning unjustified disciplinary action taken against members at Northfields Depot after a shunting incident where a signal was passed at danger. The Lead Officer raised our concerns with the Company and a meeting took place between our Reps and local management at Northfields Depot where management admitted that the investigations seem not to have got all the evident that was available.

“This Branch notes:

- The hugely detrimental effect of the “Fit for the Future” programme on our members’ working lives, including through a severe impact on work/life balance.

- LU’s plans for similar restructuring projects in other areas and functions, including trains.
