Service control dispute update

BREAKDOWN IN INDUSTRIAL RELATIONS, SERVICE CONTROL, OSBORNE HOUSE - LONDON UNDERGROUND (LUL/14/2)

Further to my previous Circular No: IR/391/20, 1st October 2020, our Lead Officer has provided an update report on the matter. This follows the previous unanimous ballot result and planned industrial action which was suspended following progress made through ACAS in resolving the issues in dispute.

Your NEC has considered the report and noted that the view of our Reps is that there is no need to re-ballot at this time on the matter.

Long service award changes

LONG SERVICE AWARDS AND RETIREMENT - TRANSPORT FOR LONDON (TFL/18/1)

Further to Circular IR/134/17, 27th March 2017, correspondence has been received from TfL concerning changes they intend to make to Long Service Awards.

Station staff Night Tube meeting

  • Please download the attached poster for Zoom meeting details.

The recent TfL financial review has made it clear to all London Underground members that we are all going to have to fight hard for our jobs, terms and conditions, pensions and benefits. The government, the Mayor’s office and London Underground management are determined that the financial burden of the COVID 19 crisis will fall on London’s workers in general and on London Underground staff in particular.

RMT in dispute as Tube bosses announce train driver job cuts at Queen's Park depot

JOB CUTS, TRAIN OPERATORS, QUEENS PARK DEPOT - LONDON UNDERGROUND - (LUL/14/5)

The following resolution was recently received from the Bakerloo Line Branch:-

“This branch notes LU's declared intention to cut Train Operators jobs at Queen's Park Depot. These cuts involve a reduction of 11 rostered positions (101 to 90) and one pool position (six to five), amounting to a total of cut of more than 10% of the existing workforce.

RMT leaflet: defending the TfL pension fund

Dear Colleagues,

TFL PENSION FUND - INDEPENDENT REVIEW

You will be aware that the RMT sent an email to our LUL members on 4th January 2021 outlining our disgust and opposition to the findings of the Independent Panel Review in respect of the TfL Pension Fund. As you will recall the Independent Panel Review makes the assumption that the TfL Pension Fund is expensive, outdated and must be reformed, a suggestion that this union totally rejects.
