Halt the Tube Cleaning Contract Tender - Insource all Sub Contractor Staff: Fair pay, sick Pay and Pensions for all

RMT Members will be protesting outside City Hall, Just before the Mayor’s Question Time to demand TFL halt the Tendering of the TFL Cleaning Contract, to bring cleaners in house, an end to all subcontracts and bring all in house.

Urgent demonstrations on 18th March against - mass sackings on P&O

The UK has today seen one of the most vicious examples of despotic employer behaviour and one of the most shameful episodes in its recent industrial history.

800 workers were sacked immediately, with no notice so they can be replaced by cheaper labour.

There are reports of the use of security guards boarding ships with handcuffs to remove crew so they can be replaced.

CUT CARBON EMISSIONS, NOT PUBLIC TRANSPORT JOBS - DEMO THURSDAY 4TH NOVEMBER

The UN climate summit COP26 is taking place in Glasgow from 31 October - 12 November. Climate change is increasing the risk of extreme ecological events such as flooding and heatwaves, both in the UK and globally. Climate change is not just an environmental problem, but it also a problem of social and economic justice and should be a key issue for workers and trade unions.

The RMT is supporting a protest, coordinated by The People’s Assembly Against Austerity, at the Tory Party Conference in Manchester.

Years of austerity have inflicted poverty and hardship on millions of people. The protest will send an unequivocal message to the Government that austerity must stop, now.

The Palestine Solidarity Campaign (PSC) has called a National Demonstration on Saturday 11th May at 12 noon. All branch members are encouraged to attend.

RAIL UNION RMT confirmed today that it will be holding a national protest outside Parliament on Wednesday the 25th of April at 11.30 at Old Palace Yard, London, SW1P 3JY (Opposite the Palace of Westminster and in front of the George V statue).
