Subject: IMPOSITION OF ROSTER, ACTON TOWN PICCADILLY LINE TRAINCREW DEPOT – LONDON UNDERGROUND

That we note with utter dismay the resolution from our Piccadilly & District West Branch that Trains Management on the Piccadilly Line have imposed a roster on our driver members despite tabled objections from our representatives and without warning while repeatedly refusing to convene requested meetings to discuss the matter further.

BREAKDOWN IN INDUSTRIAL RELATIONS, TRAIN OPERATORS, CENTRAL LINE - LONDON UNDERGROUND (LUL/14/2)

Further to my previous Circular (IR/506/18, 21st November 2018) a series of talks with the Company took place at ACAS before Christmas in an effort to seek a resolution to this dispute. There was some movement on the key issues and the National Executive Committee took the decision to suspend the strike action on Friday 21st and Saturday 22nd December 2018.

DUTIES/SHIFT COVERAGE, BAKERLOO SOUTH GROUP - LONDON UNDERGROUND (LUL/14/5)

Further to my previous Circular (IR/561/18, 21st December 2018), the Company has now confirmed that a meeting regarding the review of the Business Needs Schematics will take place with our RMT Reps within the next two weeks and will include all stations within the Bakerloo South Cover Group. A timescale for future meetings will be arranged at this initial meeting.

That we note the report from the Lead Officer; and that the company agree with all our points and demands in this dispute and appear to be sincere in rectifying the unsatisfactory items.

This industrial victory is to the credit of our stations members, reps, activists and the Bakerloo Line Branch who have by their steadfastness and solidarity demonstrated their willingness to stand up to the company.

TUESDAY 29^th JANUARY 2019

London Underground cleaners have been invited to come to the Houses of Parliament on Tuesday 29^th January to meet with some MPs. The MPs want to hear from cleaners about their issues. The best people to talk to the MPs are the cleaners themselves.

We congratulate our Bakerloo Line Branch and representatives for running a successful campaign to highlight the need to ballot for industrial actions in light of the
companies disregard for their own policies and procedures and creating undue stress on our members; putting them and the travelling public at risk.

Subject: CANTEEN CLOSURE, HARROW, METROPOLITAN LINE – LONDON UNDERGROUND

That we note the report from the Lead Officer; that the company have chosen to ignore the letter sent to them highlighting the issues of the lack of welfare provision for Train Crew members and the serious risks presented by aggressive anti-social behaviour in the surrounding neighbourhood.

That we note the report from the Lead Officer regarding talks with the company; and that we have had no satisfactory undertaking that duties will be sufficiently covered. It actually appears to be the case that if they could get away with skeleton staffing all stations they would!

This breaching of their own policy and procedure creates undue stress on our members and puts them and the travelling public at risk’ representing a breakdown in trust between the company, their staff and this union.
