I refer to my previous email of 24th June 2024, as previously reported due to our members resolve to fight to protect their past and future final salary pension rights, management and Government decided to delay their proposal to begin a consultation period in respect of any proposed reform the TfL Pension Fund no later than 1st July 2024.

All London Underground members are commended for maintaining a strong and positive mandate for industrial action throughout this long-running dispute. The anti-trade union laws mean each ballot mandate only lasts for 6 months so another ballot is now due to keep our action live. Your ballot paper will be posted on Thursday 28th March so please look out for it arriving in the post next week. The ballot closes on Thursday 25th April.

TfL Pension Fund £2billion in surplus

TFL PENSION FUND FUNDING UPDATE - POST 2023 AGM

Following the Annual Members Meeting of the TfL Pension Fund held on 6th October 2023 I can report that we are pleased to be advised by the Trustee's that funding position of this final salary pension schemes continues to remain in excellent shape. I can reveal that based on the latest actuarial report of 31st March 2023 the fund has a surplus of over £2 billion and a funding level of 116.9%.
