Following the recent ballot result in favour of taking strike action and action short of a strike in protest against the unfair dismissal of your RMT colleague Brother Dean Storey, your Reps met yesterday to discuss the matter. As a result and having noted the views from this meeting, the National Executive Committee has taken the decision to call on all affected members at West Ruislip Traincrew Depot and White City Traincrew Depot NOT TO BOOK ON for any shifts that commence between:-

LU Propose Extending CSA2 Working to Local Stations

Hopelessly Inadequate Proposal from LU of 60 CSA2s on local stations (many PT) and just 15 staff for control rooms. That’s it!

Company want months of further talks with no guaranteed additional jobs.

Overtime Ban Remains in Place: Don’t Work Overtime

- Incident follows tube bosses broken pledge that all stations will be staffed when passenger trains run.
- 800 job cuts have seen numerous safety incidents on unstaffed or understaffed stations.
- Tube bosses now offering strikebreakers three times the pay of some station staff in an attempt to prop up failed 'Fit for the Future’ stations operation model.

RMT General Secretary, Mick Cash, has slammed London Underground management for allowing London’s tube stations to descend into chaos as a result of unjustified job cuts.

Additional Action short of strike to start from 00:01 on Thursday 15 Dec 2016 until further notice:

All LUL station and revenue members are instructed:

« Not to train or familiarise any staff who would not normally work or be rostered to work at the station

All customer Service Managers are instructed

« Not to seek to cover any duty through the use of overtime

« Not to authorise any overtime

TfL ambassadors - don't take bribes to undermine station staff fight for jobs 

So the big TfL/London Underground lie is exposed for the sham that it is. Tube workers now know that money is not the issue; there's loads of it. White collar TfL staff, many of whose jobs are already under threat as a result of Tory government cuts and the new Mayor's spending review, are being bribed in an attempt to undermine LU station staff's industrial action. 

TOSM change to T&Cs

We have now received legal advice that the changes to trains management DO constitute a change to TOSM terms and conditions. Any TOSM who believes they will be unfairly impacted by the changes to trains management are advised to contact their rep for further advice on the next steps to take. The RMT remain in dispute with London Underground on this issue and ballot papers will be arriving soon. You are advised to vote YES for strike action and action short of strike 

Talks continue to identity additional staffing needs

Talks are continuing as part of seven day review of staffing level. We've outlined need for more staff to meet key objectives: Staff in control rooms, safety and security in larger stations, reduce lone working and unstaffed local stations, improve roster balance.
LU have again stated that additional jobs can be created to meet these objectives. They will respond more fully on Friday.
