RMT Young Members event

RMT London Transport Region young members' education event

Wednesday 11 November, 10:00-17:00, Maritime House, Clapham Old Town, SW4 0JW

Are you an RMT aged 30 or under who wants to learn more about how your union works, how you can get involved in it, and how we can fight for more rights and power at work?

If so, this is the event for you. Organised by the RMT London Transport Region Young Members' Officer in conjunction with the RMT National Education Department, this event will:

  • Give participants an overview of the history and structure of RMT

  • Allow for discussion of your experiences of involvement in the union so far

  • Explain how the union works, and what you can do to become more active

  • Help you network with other young members in the region

Loss-of-earnings will be covered by the union, so anyone who takes unpaid leave to attend will be reimbursed. Lunch will be provided.

Spaces are strictly limited, so firm commitments are needed. Confirm via email to Daniel Randall (Young Members' Officer) at danielrandall.rmt [@] gmail.com, copying in Dave Marshall (event tutor) at d.marshall [at] rmt.org.uk. The deadline for registration is Wednesday 4 November at 5pm.

For more information, contact Daniel via email.
