IMPOSITION OF NIGHT TUBE DUTIES, TRAIN OPERATORS - LONDON UNDERGROUND (LUL/2/3)
Further to my previous Circular IR/103/22, 6th March 2022, a re-ballot is being conducted over London Underground's unacceptable imposition of night tube duties into the TO21 roster, as this issue remains unresolved. RMT remains committed to defending the work/life balance of Train Operator members and preventing dangerous levels of fatigue, as per the 2016 agreement.
Ballot papers were posted to all RMT London Underground Train Operator members on Wednesday 11th May 2022, and branches are requested to remind members to complete their ballot and make sure these are returned in time for the closing date on Tuesday 7th June 2022. If any member has not received their ballot paper please contact us by calling the freephone Helpline on: 0800 376 3706, or by emailing: info@rmt.org.uk for a replacement.
Additionally, all Train Operator, Night Tube Train Operator and Instructor Operator members on the Jubilee, Victoria and Central Lines continue to take strike action in this dispute by refusing to book on for any shifts that commence between 20:30 hours on Friday to 04:29 hours on Saturday and 20:30 hours on Saturday to 04:29 hours on Sunday each weekend until Sunday 19th June 2022.
I will keep Branches advised of all further developments.
Yours sincerely,
Michael Lynch
General Secretary
