IMPOSITION OF NIGHT TUBE DUTIES, TRAIN OPERATORS - LONDON UNDERGROUND

On Tuesday at ACAS your union offered to suspend the industrial action on the Central and Victoria lines, if LUL laid out a clear road map to move back to the pre-pandemic night tube arrangements. This proposal was rejected by management in talks.

RMT says action goes ahead over imposition of impossible and unreasonable demands on staff in advance of Night Tube reopening

TUBE UNION RMT has confirmed that action goes ahead by members over what it describes as the imposition of unacceptable and intolerable demands on staff in advance of the Night Tube reopening which the union says will wreck work life balance by bulldozing through additional night and weekend working.

Climate change is increasing the risk of extreme ecological events such as flooding and heatwaves, both in the UK and globally. Climate change is not just an environmental problem, but it also a problem of social and economic justice and should be a key issue for workers and trade unions.

I am writing further to my letter of 24th August 2021 and following notification from London Underground that they intend to resume Night Tube services on the Central Line and Victoria Line from Friday 26th November 2021.

1 in 10 workers have experienced “fire and re-hire”, that is they have been told to re-apply for their jobs on worse pay, terms and conditions or face the sack and now unscrupulous employers are using the Covid-19 crisis as a cover for this despicable practice.
