RMT NATIONAL LGBT+ MEMBERS CONFERENCE – 26-27 MAY 2022

I am pleased to inform you that, Covid restrictions permitting, the 2022 National Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender + Members’ Conference will take place at the Birmingham Conference and Events Centre, Hill Street, Birmingham B5 4EW, on Thursday 26th May (starting at 2pm) to Friday 27th May 2022 (concluding by 4pm).

I am pleased to inform you that, Covid restrictions permitting, the 2022 National Disabled Members’ Conference will take place in Manchester on Friday 8 April (commencing at 2pm) and Saturday 9 April (concluding by 4pm). The venue is the Mechanics Institute, 103 Princess Street, Manchester M1 6DD.

The trade union movement will be in Blackpool on Saturday 19 March, to send a clear message to the Conservative party spring conference: Britain needs a pay rise!

The Trades Union Congress is organising the day of action in response to the rising cost of living whilst workers' pay is frozen and millions are hit with real terms pay cuts as inflation hits record levels.

UN ANTI-RACISM DAY DEMONSTRATIONS - 19 & 20 MARCH 2022

To commemorate the UN Anti-Racism Day there will be international protests taking place in cities around the world under the slogan 'World Against Racism & Fascism'. We need to play our part mobilising the anti-racist majority in big numbers to challenge Johnson's racist offensive and the union is supporting the joint events organised by the TUC and Stand Up to Racism over the weekend of 19-20 March 2022:
