As Coronavirus crisis rages on, Tory prime minister calls for driverless tube trains

RMT Senior Assistant General Secretary Mick Lynch said;

"It is outrageous for Boris Johnson to wheel out the dangerous nonsense of driverless trains as a condition of the emergency Covid-19 funding of Transport for London. At its meeting on 1 July, RMT Jubilee South branch, which organises workers at Canary Wharf station, in the borough of Tower Hamlets, launched a solidarity statement in support of the strike, and donated £200 to the workers' strike fund. RMT activists are organising to secure additional branch and individual signatories to the statement.
