Submitted by Admin on 10 April, 2013 - 19:42RAIL UNION RMT today told the Government to end two years of lies and delays as another deadline for signing off the Thameslink/Siemens fleet contract has been allowed to slide by in a transport fiasco that outstrips even the West Coast Mainline shambles

TO ALL RMT LUL REPRESENTATIVES INVOLVED IN REVIEW OF MACHINERY AND CONSULTATION

Please find below copy of General Grades Committee decisions relating to the above matter, including merged files, up until 20th February 2013.
Protection For Occupational Health Staff
Submitted by Admin on 10 April, 2013 - 19:22We note the correspondence from Transport for London, refusing our request for an independent review of the situation at Occupational Health. We instruct the General Secretary to ensure that this matter is pursued fully through the machinery of negotiation and should this prove fruitless, to refer it to ACAS.
London Transport Regional Council and branches to be advised.
Piccadilly Line Drivers Balloted As 'Management Are Riding Roughshod Over Agreements'
Submitted by Admin on 10 April, 2013 - 18:34We note the report from our Regional Organiser and the resolution from our Finsbury Park branch.
We note that it is the unanimously-held view of our drivers' representatives and branch officers on the Piccadilly line that the union should ballot Piccadilly line drivers for strike action without delay.
Our representatives believe that the line's management are riding roughshod over agreements and for some time appear to have been deliberately misinterpreting policy on SPADs, holistic reports and attendance, particularly at Arnos Grove.
Concern Over Change To Train Maintainer Grade
Submitted by Admin on 10 April, 2013 - 18:06We note the report from our Regional Organiser, and the reservations expressed about this move by Alstom. We note that further discussions are to take place and instruct the General Secretary to place updates in front of us.
London Transport Regional Council and branches to be advised.
ISS Increases London Living Wage 6 Months Late
Submitted by Admin on 10 April, 2013 - 18:02We note that a meeting is to take place with ISS on 18 April and instruct the General Secretary to place a report of this meeting in front of us.
We further note that ISS intends to only pay the uprated level of the London Living Wage six months after the uprating is announced, and claims that this is allowed for in its contract. We are appalled by this, which means in practice that our members are expected to live on less than a living wage for 50% of their lives.
