REMOVAL OF DETRAINMENT STAFF - LONDON UNDERGROUND

All Train Operator and Instructor Operator members on the Bakerloo Line, District Line, Central Line, Hammersmith & City Line and Jubilee Line have been taking action to physically check their train before detraining since March 2023. Now due to the anti-trade union laws, this ballot mandate will expire and it is necessary to ballot members again for this action to continue.

LUL now also intend to extend the imposition of the 'flash and dash' procedure for detrainments to the Victoria Line and the National Executive Committee has taken the decision to include Train Operator and Instructor Operator members on the Victoria Line in this ballot.

A ballot paper was posted to you today and the closing date for the ballot is Thursday 17th August 2023. If any member has not received their ballot paper, please call the RMT Helpline on 0800 376 3706 or e-mail info@rmt.org.uk.
