Young members activist and victimised driver Jayesh Patel reached a settlement with London Underground yesterday at ACAS.

RMT was in dispute with LU over the permanent downgrading of Jayesh to CSA and had served notice to ballot all train staff on London Underground. At the same time a tribunal claim had been lodged and was due to be heard that Jayesh had suffered a detriment due to his trade union activity.

A settlement was reached yesterday. The full terms of the agreement are confidential, but the RMT are pleased to report that Jayesh will be back driving trains in February next year.

Another victory for the RMT!
