TRAINS FUNCTIONAL COUNCIL REPRESENTATION - LONDON UNDERGROUND
The following resolution was recently received from Piccadilly & District West Branch:
"This branch notes the recent referendum results of Train Operators and Instructor Operators on London Underground on the proposed condensed 4 day working week. It has become apparent that the current number of representatives no longer reflects the updated membership figures. With this in mind, this branch believes that it is now necessary to review the number of representatives on the Trains Functional Council to ensure proper and proportional representation.
We call on the NEC to instruct the General Secretary to write to the company and request an urgent review of this Council and its proportionality."
This matter has been considered by the National Executive Committee and in line with its decision, I have written to the Company demanding an urgent review of the Trains Functional Council and its proportionality.
I will keep Branches advised of all further developments.
