Circular: Pay & Conditions '09 PRP Information And Revised Grievance Procedure

Revised Grievance Procedure – London Underground (LUL/4/4)

circular logoI can advise Branches that the General Grades Committee has considered management’s proposed revised Grievance procedure and have made the following decision: -

“That the General Secretary is instructed to indicate our acceptance of this procedure on the basis that it is a negotiated document either as an appendix to the Machinery of Negotiation or equivalent. Branches and reps to be informed.”

I have advised the company of our acceptance accordingly.

Rates Of Pay And Conditions Of Service 2009 – London Underground (LUL/0001)

As you will be aware, we recently accepted the 2009/10 pay award and have received information from the company regarding PRP rates. The breakdown of this is as follows: -

All spot salary rates will be uplifted by 1.5% with effect from 1st April 2009 which will apply to all LU employees beneath the level of business manager.

Employees on Full PRP

  • Achieved (A) - an increase in contractual salary of 1.5%.
  • Exceeded (E) - an increase in contractual salary of 2%.
  • Outstanding (O) - an increase in contractual salary of 2.8%.

These increases will be effective from 1st July 2009. Full PRP staff who receive one of the developing ratings will not receive any increase rates unless necessary to keep them on pay band minimum.

Employees on Part PRP

  • Exceeded (E) - In addition to the general increase of 1.5% (effective 1st April 2009) an additional increase in contractual salary of 0.5% effective from 1st July 2009.
  • Outstanding (O) - In addition to the general increase of 1.5% (effective 1st April 2009), an additional increase in contractual salary of 1.3% effective from 1st July 2009.

For any staff at the top of a salary band, then any PRP element that is payable will be paid as a lump sum.
