Ballot matrix prepared over degraded, substandard conditions at Morden depot

Subject: MORDEN DEPOT – GARTH HOUSE

That we note the resolution from our London Transport Regional Council regarding the degraded, sub-standard work conditions and welfare facilities at Morden Depot and the company’s unwillingness to address these most basic and necessary provisions.

We also note the matter is to be raised at a coming Trains Safety Council meeting, and instruct the General Secretary to place an updated report in front of this NEC following this meeting.

In light of the seriousness of these health, safety and welfare breaches by the company and their failure to engage with our H&S reps raising these issues; we instruct the General Secretary to prepare a ballot matrix of all Train Operators and Operator Instructors for industrial action so we can progress to a strike/action short ballot in the event that these unsatisfactory items are not resolved by the company.

Members to be advised by email and text.

Morden & Oval Branch and the London Transport Regional Council to be advised.
