TRAIN PREPARATION ARRANGEMENTS - LONDON UNDERGROUND (LUL/19/1)

RMT previously declared a dispute with LUL regarding its decision to not have any human interaction or involvement in the pre-service checking of new Siemens 24-stock trains (IR/072/24, 1st March 2024). A dispute resolution meeting took place in June 2024, but since this time consultation with the Union has been inadequate. The National Executive Committee has taken the decision to write to the Company demanding that Reps are involved in a full inspection and are given a demonstration of the 24-stock auto-prep system. RMT is also demanding meaningful consultation on a more robust system of physical checks, including daily checks of the tripcock system to commence as soon as possible.
