All RMT women are welcome to join us for an informal lunch. This is your opportunity to meet other women members in a friendly setting and discuss any issues which matter to you as a female transport worker.

As London Underground announces its intention to cut 800 unspecified 'support staff' jobs, Roy Carey, RMT rep for MATS (managers, admin, technical, support), says: "We in the RMT believe you should not feel intimidated, or living in fear when coming to work. The fear and threat of losing your job is something none of us need. We will fight every job cut."

Protest: Defend Cleaners from Initial Union-Busting

Dear Colleagues

There will be a protest outside Initial-Rentokil offices in Brunswick place [Old Street tube exit 1] on 11th October at 12 noon to 1 pm.This protest has been called against Initials union busting tactics which include bring cleaners into their offices on the pretence of having a grievance hearing and then calling the police to arrest them.

The RMT cannot stand idly by and allow this crude intimidation to continue. Come and show solidarity with our cleaner members on Monday 11th

Rally and lobby against government cuts

The coalition government’s massive spending cuts will hit the vulnerable, undermine vital services and threaten both private and public sector jobs.

Every single RMT member and their families will be affected. The cuts will hammer the industries we work in and the services we use.

On Tuesday 19 October, the day before the Comprehensive Spending Review, the TUC is bringing together workers from all over the country to make it clear that ordinary people did not cause the crisis and to campaign for an alternative. Please join the rally and lobby of parliament.

London students support our strikes

150 students from institutions including UCL, Westminster, Queen Mary, University of the Arts, LSE, South Bank, Kings, Birkbeck, London Met and Royal Holloway, met for a London-wide meeting of the National Campaign Against Fees and Cuts on 6 October. The meeting opened with a speech from RMT rep Becky Crocker, who NCAFC organisers had invited to talk about our campaign for jobs and safety.

1600 Threatened Job Cuts At LUL

You may be aware that LUL management have now announced an additional 800 job cuts on London Underground making the total job cuts to planned to 1600. This shows just how much of a crisis Boris Johnson and LUL have plunged the network into. Ironically many of these new redundancies are the very managers who volunteered to work during the previous strikes. Well that’s gratitude for you!

RMT Slams Another Savage Attack On Tube Jobs

THE TUBE’S biggest union today slammed as “savagery” another huge tranche of up to 800 job cuts announced by London Underground
