ISS workers to strike on Docklands Light Railway

Subject: BREACH OF MACHINERY – ISS (KAD CONTRACT)

We note the report from the Lead Officer and the resolve of our ISS members.

We instruct our members to take part in the following industrial actions:

Strike Action

Not to book on for any shifts commencing 05:30hrs on Thursday 1st February 2018 to 05:29hrs on Saturday 3rd February 2018.

Action Short of a Strike

We instruct our members not to deviate from only working to current approved risk assessments from 05:30hrs on Monday 5th February 2018 to 05:29hrs on Saturday 10th February 2018.

Redundancy threat on Balfour Beatty

Subject: redundancies, lul contract – balfour beatty

We note the correspondence on file and the serious threats to our members from redundancy and refer this matter into our Southern Sub Committee for examination and report.

Finsbury Park branch resolution issues raised with company

Subject: WORKING ARRANGEMENTS, NIGHT TUBE – LONDON UNDERGROUND

We note the resolution from Finsbury Park Branch and instruct the General Secretary to raise all the issues contained within the resolution with the company, and to report back to this NEC, branches and members on any progress made and on which matters remain outstanding.

We note that the last paragraph regarding Night Tube representation is currently being dealt with.

Talks scheduled in Transplant train prep payment dispute

Subject: TRAIN PREPARATION PAYMENTS, TRANSPLANT MAINTENANCE STAFF – LONDON UNDERGROUND (ex-AP JNP)

We note the letter from the company.

We instruct the General Secretary to suspend all industrial action in light of scheduled talks in the new year.

Further, we instruct the General Secretary to place a report back on progress in scheduled talks in front of this NEC no later than the third week in January 2018.

Progress made in Transplant pay parity dispute

Subject: PAY PARITY, TRANSPLANT MAINTENANCE/STORES STAFF – LONDON UNDERGROUND (ex-AP JNP)

We note the letter from the company.

We instruct the General Secretary to suspend all industrial action in light of progress made in negotiations.

Further, we instruct the General Secretary to place a report back on progress in scheduled talks in front of this NEC no latter than the third week in January 2018.

TOPRA change is attack on junior drivers

We note the report from our London Transport Regional Council regarding the  recently changes to the TOPRA/TOSCA agreements; which clearly amount to an attack on our more recently employed Driver Members and the introduction of a discriminatory two tier approach for addressing SPADs.

We instruct the General Secretary to run a campaign of information on this issue, additionally to call a meeting of all train representatives consulting them on all
approaches up to and including the potential of a ballot for industrial actions.

Train prep payment ballot returns a strong yes vote

We note the overwhelming turnout and ballot result and the resolve shown by our members.
