59 Jobs Restored in Revised Rosters: RMT tells LU this is totally unacceptable

London Underground has finally revealed its revised staffing figure for our stations. After 7 months of discussions, around the rosters in every area, 59 jobs have been restored.

This means, taking into account the 64 jobs won back in earlier talks, that LU now plans 838 job cuts instead of 953.

We have won 115 jobs back in talks but we have made it clear to the company at today’s meeting that 838 cuts remains totally unacceptable. It will leave stations dangerously understaffed and it will put members working on stations in an impossible position.

RMT Engineering Branch Motion Joins Growing Call of Support For Glen Hart

I'm pleased to advise the following was passed unanimously at this evenings meeting of LU Engineering RMT Branch.

Resolution on the Victimisation by LU of Glen Hart RMT Rep.

This branch calls upon the RMT GGC to ballot all grades on LU for strike action and action short of a strike in the event that Glen Hart is dismissed, down graded or given any warning for following instructions from RMT in the EJM dispute.

Glen abided by the instruction of the GGC and his refusal to work overtime was covered by a lawful RMT ballot of members.

RMT: Transport Cuts Give Thugs And Racists Green Light For Violence

RMT on BTP conference on violence on transport services:

General Secretary Mick Cash said.

"‎The public should be under no illusions. The whole object of policy on our transport services at the moment is to axe staff and that gives a green light to thugs, drunks and racists to indulge in their violent, abusive and anti-social behaviour.

"From chopping guards off the trains, to closing ticket offices on London Underground to cutting staff on stations and platforms the whole austerity and profit driven agenda is turning our transport system into a thugs and criminals paradise.

Interim Report from CCSG on Location & Review Process

Displacement Process and Review
We held further talks about the displacement process and proposed review at Company Council Sub-group today. Once again we were not satisfied with LU’s response to the issues we’ve raised and the company has agreed not to proceed with the review until they have considered their position further. They will respond on Tuesday afternoon, next week.
We will issue a Stations Functional Newsletter once the company’s position is clear. For the moment I can make a few points that I know members are asking about:
