Rates Of Pay & Conditions Of Service Industrial Action At Initial And ISS

From General Secretary Bob Crow

Rates Of Pay & Conditions Of Service 2011 – Initial (LUL Contract) & Rates Of Pay & Conditions Of Service 2012 – ISS (LUL Contract)

As you may be aware, RMT members working for both Initial and ISS on London Underground have recently been balloted for strike action and industrial action short of a strike. This dispute is over the fact that these members who provide a vital service on London Underground are constantly exploited by these Companies

, have not been offered a satisfactory pay increase for 2012 and have also been told they will not receive any Olympic bonus to compensate for the extra work that will be created.

The ballots have now concluded with members voting overwhelmingly in favour of taking part in strike action and industrial action short of a strike and the General Grades Committee has now taken the decision to instruct members working for Initial and ISS NOT TO BOOK ON FOR ANY SHIFTS THAT COMMENCE BETWEEN:-

  • 05:30 hours on Friday 27th July 2012 and 05:29 hours on Sunday 29th July 2012.

I urge all London Underground RMT members to show your support for your Union colleagues in their ongoing fight for better pay and conditions. We must all stand together to show these Companies that these members deserve better and that this Union will not accept a pay freeze and will not tolerate this scandalous treatment of RMT members.
