Dear Colleagues,

IMPOSITION OF NIGHT TUBE DUTIES, TRAIN OPERATORS - LONDON UNDERGROUND

You should now have received your ballot paper for industrial action. If you have not done so already, please make sure you return your paper, to reach the Scrutineer by the closing date of Monday 20th December 2021.

The restrictive terms of the 2016 Trade Union Act require your union to conduct a fresh ballot of members to have a mandate to continue to take industrial action in this dispute. Despite the initial progress that was made under the auspices of ACAS it was only towards the end of the existing mandate that the company cynically moved away from a position where an agreement looked possible.

I urge you all to vote 'YES' to strike action to ensure as strong a mandate as possible in this ballot, and to best ensure a resolution to the intolerable situation of Night Tube duties being imposed contrary to our existing agreement.

If you do not receive your voting paper from the independent scrutineer by today, Monday 13th December 2021 please e-mail info@rmt.org.uk to request a replacement. Alternatively, call the freephone helpline on 0800 376 3706.

Important Please Note:  The Scrutineer for RMT Ballots and Elections is 'CES' (Civica Election Services). Letters from CES are not Junk Mail and should be opened.
