Imposition Of Rosters, Breaches Of Signals Framework Agreement And Outsourcing – LUL

circular logoThis is an official RMT circular - IR/61/10 dated 18th of February 2010, from General Secretary Bob Crow.

I write to advise branches that victory has been achieved in the above dispute which has been concluded following talks at ACAS and the industrial action has been suspended.

Backed up by an overwhelming yes vote for strike action and industrial action short of a strike our negotiating team forced management to drop their attempts to roster our members at weekends against their will. Its regrettable that once again it has required members to take strike action to get management to adhere to agreements.

Following on from talks at ACAS it was agreed that a joint party will meet to set up a framework on how rostering arrangements can be discussed which will report back to the Company Council by 12th April 2010.

Firstly I must congratulate our negotiating team for their sterling work in our talks with management and of course the magnificent and solid period of industrial action taken by members which brought about this victory. It goes to show that unity really is strength.

This is a strong indictment of what can be achieved with a strong vote for action and determined negotiating team.
