John McDonnell MP has given Bakerloo drivers the full support of the parliamentray group in the union's campaign to reinstate Eamonn Lynch.

John said:

"The RMT Parliamentary Group fully supports the industrial action taken by RMT and Aslef drivers working on the Bakerloo Line on 17th-18th December. The disgraceful victimisation of Eamonn Lynch appears to have been escalated by Tube management during the appeals process apparently to intimidate trade union members working on the Bakerloo Line and across the Tube network.

Not only must we fight for Eamonn’s reinstatement but we must work to highlight the anti-trade union instincts of Tube management that this unjust episode so clearly reveals. Of course, all this is playing out under the watch of the cuts friendly Mayor of London who refuses, as a matter of principle, to meet with trade unions to resolve industrial disputes on the Tube – it is time to fight this culture of anti-trade unionism at the heart of Tube management and the action taken by RMT members on the Bakerloo Line is an inspiration to the movement.”
