NEW ROSTERS AND DUTY SCHEDULES: TRAIN OPERATORS – HAMMERSMITH DEPOT – LUL
I am pleased to inform you that a settlement was reached in respect of this dispute enabling us to cancel the ballot for industrial action. Talks took place initially at Head Office level before being referred back for local negotiation.
An agreement was reached to convert two pool positions to rostered positions at times to be agreed locally. This had the effect of dealing with our concerns with cuts to the roster as well as improving the position regarding the lack of “middle” turns.
In addition weekend duties covered by part-time staff have been taken out of the roster as per agreements. This allows for more family and welfare friendly rostered turns of duty.
There is a previous circular with further information on the reason for these disputes here
