This is a statement from General Secretary Bob Crow regarding the automatic opening of train doors when arriving at platforms:

This matter was initially raised by the LT Regional Council some time ago and the General Grades Committee has recently issued the following decision.

“That having consulted with our Victoria Line representatives, it is clear that the issue of automatic doors is of serious concern, both on the Victoria line and elsewhere. The General Secretary is accordingly instructed to request regular updates of developments from our senior upgrades and Health and Safety representatives.”

I have asked the Regional Organiser to ensure that I am provided with the required reports from the relevant representatives.
