In the long running dispute with the Mayor, the RMT taxi branch are organising a demo/go slow around Whitehall and the Houses Of Parliament on Wednesday from 1330.
These demos have had a massive impact on London on the previous occasions they have taken place
We are asking any RMT reps/activists who are able to get down to Whitehall with flags, banners and hooters to give support to our taxi driver comrades.

Further Incidents:
Less than 24 hours after talks broke down with LUL regarding Section 15 Possessions, there have been two further incidents underlining the warnings that the RMT gave that the whole process has casualised safe track access to such a point that serious injury or death was becoming inevitable.

Due to the planned strikes, the date of the Neasden branch meeting has been changed to Wednesday 20th January at 4.00pm. Please make every effort to attend as we will be coordinating picket line locations and numbers for the strikes. The meeting will take place in the usual venue which is The Torch Pub near Wembley Park tube station.
Please see the attached circular from the RMT regarding the planned industrial action.
The General Grades Committee has noted the correspondence on file and as a result, has taken the decision to call on all RMT Station Grades to take part in the industrial action detailed below.
Also, members are instructed to refuse to sign any contract or letter regarding working hours or agreements (with the exception of members on Fixed Term Contracts who should sign permanent contracts).
London Underground have failed to properly conduct a public consultation exercise over the closure of ticket offices on the part of the network previously run by Silverlink, now LOROL.
They have set up an online email system to try and convince the regulators they are engaging with the public.
The RMT are absolutely against the closing of ticket offices and have conducted a near 2 year campaign to keep them.
We want to encourage all our members and their friends and families to take part in the consultation exercise.
