Tube staff out in force across the network in fight for jobs and safety

General Secretary Mick Cash said; "Our members are out in force across London Underground this morning in the fight for jobs and safety. The strike action is ‎being solidly supported on every line, at every station and on picket lines right across the Tube network.

"This action has been forced on us by savage cuts to jobs that have reduced London Underground to an under-staffed death trap at a time of heightened security and safety alert.

TFL should stop peddling their fantasy world of ‎services that are operating

RMT warns TFL to stop peddling "dangerous lies" about level of tube services operating during strike.

General Secretary Mick Cash said; "It does no one any favours for TFL to openly lie about how many Tube services are running. It just piles more people into stations that are already dangerously over crowded and ramps up the risk of a major crushing incident.

"TFL should stop peddling their fantasy world of ‎services that are operating when the truth is that London is on an almost total shutdown.

Tube strike on as tube bosses threaten to forcibly displace staff and use scab workforce during strike

Dear RMT Members

Today myself and senior RMT reps, The TSSA  and LUL at met ACAS on the above dispute for the 3rd day this week. Despite the strong effort of our Negotiation team we were not able to make any progress on the key issues of the loss of 838 jobs, displacements  and Transfer arrangements, destaffing of control rooms, abuse of CSA2 grades at the expense of CSA1 and roster balance.

Dear RMT Members,

Today myself and senior RMT reps, The TSSA and LUL met at ACAS for the second day on the above dispute.

Despite my request yesterday to make a radically improved offer and a whole day of conciliation at ACAS no improvements were forthcoming.

LUL have stated they want to return tomorrow for talks, and we of course are available. If there are developments I will report back.

A Message to you CSA

A message to you CSA

Baby sitting a station – what could possibly go wrong?

LUL – we haven't got a CSM for West Ham today
Please do some OT  CSA and keep Station open
Nothing will go wrong
We do it all the time
Sit in the Station Control Room, drink tea and pretend nothing's happening l
Don't go on the gate line
Leave gates open
You're a CSA
What could possibly go wrong?l

Pinched and scrubbed

LUL recently presented your Trains, Health and Safety Council reps with a Change Assurance Plan,  which outlined proposals to progressively remove Tunnel Telephone wires from April 2017. The removal process would last 2 years with priority given to areas prone to breakages.
