  • This resolution is a statement of policy which contains no proposals for action: there is therefore no indication that the Regional Council needs to do anything to implement it. However, any suggestions are welcome.

Stop Post Office Privatisation

  • I have forwarded this resolution to the CWU’s Regional Council.
  • I have invited the secretary of the CWU’s Regional Council to address our mass meeting.

Management Anti-Strike Propaganda

From Bob Crow, RMT General Secretary.

It has come to my notice that LUL management are handing out anti-strike propaganda and asking people to sign for it. This is nothing more than a crude attempt to intimidate people during the current ballot and is both counterproductive and completely unnecessary.

RMT members have already voted for action by a five-to-one majority, but LUL used legal technicalities that would have made no difference to the outcome to stop your union using that democratic mandate.

Vic LIne strikes: Messages of Support

A couple of messages of support from passengers for the Vic line strike ...

"Strike is the only way to get your voice heard! Stand up for your rights, and beyond that, for people and workers' rights in the UK. "Wake up UK!" A victoria line commuter

"I would like to support your action re the Correct Side Door Enabler." Shoaban Nair Trusts and Foundations Fundraising Officer

Victoria line strike “100% solid” in dispute over door safety and bullying

RMT press release, issued today.

RMT said this morning that train operators working out of the Seven Sisters depot, covering the Victoria Line, are rock solid in their support for a 24 hour strike which started at 9pm last night.

RMT paid tribute to its members who have been prepared to give up a second days pay in a fight to get correct door side operating equipment installed on the Victoria Line, a failsafe safety system that operates on every other line on the Underground, and in a stand against bullying and victimisation of RMT members and activists.

Dear Colleague,

Current Dispute with London Underground.

As you know we are currently balloting all LUL members for strike action and action short of a strike over the company’s refusal to make a reasonable offer on pay, breaches of long standing agreements and their proposals to make up to 3000 staff redundant.

Station Supervisors............... are you out there?

As part of last years dispute it was agreed that traffic hour supervision would be in place on the Wembley central group by the end of April 2009......well that date has now been and gone and there are no Super's in place yet?

Question to RMT head office what is this Union doing about this?? Surely we are considering at the least to take this to ACAS.

For branch members please come to the next branch to help pass a resolution getting the EC to take some action over LU's lack of progress on this matter.
