RMT Tube members vote YES for action over pay and SMASH anti-union thresholds once again

Dear RMT Member,

Rates of Pay & Conditions of Service 2024 - London Underground

I write to advise you that the ballot has now closed and the result is as follows:-

 

Are you prepared to take strike action?

Number of individuals who were entitled to vote in the ballot:             10190

Number of votes cast in the ballot:                                                      5653

Number of individuals answering “Yes” to the question:                       5446   

Number of individuals answering “No” to the question:                        203     

Number of spoiled or otherwise invalid voting papers returned:           4

 

Are you prepared to take industrial action short of a strike?

Number of individuals who were entitled to vote in the ballot:             10190

Number of votes cast in the ballot:                                                      5653   

Number of individuals answering “Yes” to the question:                       5515   

Number of individuals answering “No” to the question:                        121

Number of spoiled or otherwise invalid voting papers returned:           17       

           

Both of the above results meet the thresholds imposed due the anti-trade union laws and the National Executive Committee has wholeheartedly congratulated members on delivering a ballot mandate for strike action and action short of a strike.
