RMT confirms it has served notice on KAD for next phase of Docklands strike action

DLR union RMT confirmed today that it has served notice on Keolis Amey Docklands for the next phase of strike action in a dispute over outsourcing, abuse of procedures and workplace justice.

All KAD members have been instructed not to book on for any shifts that commence between:-

04:00 hours on Friday 20th April 2018 and 03:59 hours on Tuesday 24th April 2018

The RMT negotiating team have been back at ACAS again this week to try to reach a resolution ‎to this dispute but there has been to no significant progress on the key issues and as a result the next round of action goes ahead.

The last phase of action was ‎rock solid and other than a handful of trains on a limited section of the DLR in the morning it effectively closed the service.

General Secretary Mick Cash said;

"RMT continues to push for a negotiated settlement in a dispute that is about turning the tide on outsourcing and ensuring workplace justice for this key group of London transport workers."

"Our negotiating team is frustrated that the talks that wound up yesterday have failed to make any significant progress on the key issues.

"RMT has made it absolutely clear that this dispute can be resolved and that there is still time to reach a settlement but that requires a display of the same kind of will and commitment from the management side to move the issues forwards."
