  1. No Sweat Gathering - Sunday 7 December Mark Thomas will be reading from his book about Coca Cola, Belching Out The Devil; Hear Garment Worker Activists From Bangladesh tell their story; World Development Movement on rigged trade rules; Reel News video activism workshop and loads more... Sunday December 7 at Queen Mary & Westfield College, Uni of London. Big name benefit the night before. Crash accommodation can be arranged. Glossy fliers available on request.   2. King Blues Frontman Itch Fox @ No Sweat Night At Housmans Booksellers, 5 Caledonian Road, Kings Cross, London, N1 9DX. Plus Clayton Blizzard, Pj and Gaby. Saturday November 22, from 6pm. Entry is free tho donations are welcome, but get there early to make sure you get in as this is a small venue...it really is a bookshop!
  3. Support GAP Drivers in the US Oak Harbor Freight Lines workers in Oregon, Washington and Idaho went on strike more than a month ago and the response of the company has been brutal. They've employed scabs, cut off health care to retirees, and bullied and intimidated striking workers. A number of responsible companies have Labourstart have launched a global campaign to put pressure on The Gap and on Oak Harbor. Please take a minute to send off your message here. And why not picket your local GAP store. No Sweat pickets will be starting from this Saturday, November 8 and will continue till the strike is won.   4. Appeal to Support Thai Electronics Workers Please join GoodElectronics and the Fair Trade Center Sweden in an Urgent Appeal concerning the ongoing labour dispute at Hoya Glass Disk (Thailand). Send letters to Hoya Glass Disk (Thailand), Hoya Japan and the first and second tiers buyers - calling upon them to contribute to resolving the conflict at the shortest notice, with the meaningful involvement of the local labour union EEALU. Background information can be found on the Good Electronics website, as well as the demands made by EEALU.
  5. Support Needed for Philipine Labour Rights Lawyer Remigio Saladero is currently held by police on false criminal charges. Please join the urgent action through the website of the International Labor Rights Forum (ILRF) here.
