Industrial action called to defend Glen Hart

Following the recent ballot result where RMT members voted ‘YES’ in favour of taking strike action and industrial action short of a strike this matter has been considered by the National Executive Committee, who have taken the decision to call an OVERTIME BAN:-

You are therefore instructed NOT TO WORK ANY OVERTIME between 18:00 hours on Wednesday 2nd March and 17:59 hours on Thursday 3rd March 2016.

This Union continues to give our full support to Glen Hart and demands that London Underground immediately ends his suspension, abandons any planned spurious disciplinary action and returns him to work in his substantive role.

Brother Hart has worked for London Underground with an unblemished record for the past 20 years and is also a popular RMT activist who has fought tirelessly for all members on a wide range of issues to improve justice, equality, jobs and terms & conditions. RMT strongly believes that Glen has been targeted by management as they are desperate to get rid of an effective trade unionist who will stand up for his rights and those of his colleagues.

I urge all RMT members to support this action as we know that an overtime ban across the whole network can have a massive impact and make LUL sit up and take notice.
