Drivers: Working on a Public Holiday

This is the excerpt from the 2011 London Underground pay settlement relating to drivers working on a bank holiday:

If a Train Operator wishes to work on a Bank Holiday when they have been booked off that day under the agreed process, then in principle LU is prepared to agree that they may work their rostered time and hours subject to the following. This only applies to those TOs who would have otherwise been expected to work normally, but have instead been required to take leave because it is a Bank Holiday. This arrangement being cost neutral and that there is no loss of productivity as a result of this arrangement. The working of this agreement will be reviewed by Trains Functional Council 12 months after implementation to ensure its correct and effective operation.
