BREAKDOWN IN INDUSTRIAL RELATIONS – KEOLIS AMEY DOCKLANDS (DLR/14/2)

Further to my previous Circular (IR/256/15, 22nd October 2015), and following the magnificent ballot result in favour of taking industrial action, the General Grades Committee has considered this matter and taken the decision to instruct all Docklands Light Railway members NOT TO BOOK ON FOR SHIFTS THAT COMMENCE BETWEEN:-

  • 03:59 hours on Tuesday 3rd November 2015 until 03:58 hours on Thursday 5th November 2015.

An avoidance of disputes meeting took place on Friday 23rd October but regrettably, negotiations with the Company broke down. Although it is the case that as always we remain available for talks with the Company to resolve this dispute and further discussions are planned for later this week, we now have no alternative but to act on the huge strike action mandate.

I urge all KAD members to support this action and demand that the Company takes action to resolve the issues at the heart of this dispute. I will keep you informed of all further developments.
