The RMT, for the second year, is sponsoring a float at this year's Notting Hill Carnival, in partnership with Lagniappe, (http://lagniappe.co.uk/) on Sunday the 26th and Monday the 27th of August 2018.

Join RMT members, as well as friends and family, at this great social and commemorative event this year. The Burston Strike School Rally is a chances to celebrate RMT and other unions' history and recommit to preserving and extending our legacy.

RMT mobilisation to the national demonstration at the Conservative Party conference 

Saturday 29th of September

The RMT are mobilising for the demonstration at the Tory Party conference on Saturday September 29th in Birmingham. 

It was discussed at the regional EC last week and we want a big delegation this year. 

We will put on a coach but only if there are enough people. I need to get booking. 

The coach will leave King's Cross at 0900 and return approx 19.00.

London Transport Retired members branch meeting dates for 2018 are:

RMT London Transport region is running a week-long training course for representatives and activists on Disability in the Workplace from Monday 1 until Friday 5 October in London. With our employers and workplaces presenting many barriers to disabled workers, members are increasingly calling on representatives to help them get adjustments, reasonable treatment, and even to stay in work. Union reps want and need to be equipped with the knowledge and skills not just to represent individuals but to campaign for more accessible and equal workplaces.

​RMT is supporting the mobilisations protesting the visit of US President Donald Trump on Friday 13 July, and the counter-protest against a planned far-right mobilisation in support of Tommy Robinson on 14 July.

In association with the Cuba Solidarity Campaign, the 16th RMT Annual Garden Party for Cuba will take place on Wednesday 13th June 2018 at Maritime House, Clapham, London, commencing 7.00pm.

Tickets are now available. This includes a free bar, buffet and music. As usual we will be joined by a number of distinguished guest speakers.

The Garden Party will provide a wonderful opportunity to show solidarity with Cuba with friends from across the Labour and Trade Union movement.
