STRIKE ACTION ON TUESDAY 1ST AND THURSDAY 3RD MARCH
Your RMT Lead Officer and Senior Reps from each function met Senior LUL management at ACAS today regarding this dispute which affects all RMT LUL members and is supported by a magnificent yes vote for industrial action.
I today met with senior LUL management under ACAS along with 9 senior representatives from every function on LUL representing over 10K members.
LUL called this meeting despite us writing to the Mayor of London 13th January demanding talks at his level to discuss the planned attacks on our members which resulted in a magnificent yes vote for industrial action.
REDUCED DRIVER TRAINING - LONDON UNDERGROUND (LUL/11/1)
The following resolution was recently received from Piccadilly and District West Branch:-
“This branch notes the dangerous new precedent being set by London Underground regarding training.
Despite having well thought out, agreed ways of training drivers, management are attempting to water training down beyond recognition.
RMT train driver Reps ask Steve Hedley to answer train drivers' questions on our LU pension fightback.
The RMT has called industrial action over the planned attacks on jobs, pensions and agreements which will take place on the 1st and 3rd of March. Read more at www.rmtlondoncalling.org.uk/fundtfl.
As RMT gets ready to strike on London Underground on the 1st and 3rd of March, to defend our jobs, pensions and agreements RMT regional Organiser John Leach says:
"The rmt has stood up and will continue to stand up and fight for what is right. That is why we are taking strike action, there can be no further delay."

Further to my previous Circular (IR/017/22, 19th January 2022), extensive consultation has taken place and RMT Reps from all grades have fed back the strength of feeling amongst members over the planned attacks on jobs, pensions and working arrangements.
IMPOSITION OF ROSTERS, TRAINS OPERATORS, NEASDEN TRAINCREW DEPOT (METROPOLITAN LINE) - LONDON UNDERGROUND (LUL/8/2)
Further to my previous Circular (IR/017/22, 19th January 2022), Branches are aware that progress has been made on the key issues in this dispute with the following commitments received from the Company:

London Transport union RMT announces strike action as LU refuses to give assurances on jobs, pensions and working conditions
LONDON TRANSPORT UNION RMT confirmed that members will be taking strike action next month over LU’s continuing refusal to give assurances on jobs, pensions and working conditions in the midst of an on-going financial crisis driven by central Government
The announcement comes in the wake of a recent ballot of over ten thousand members across all grades of LU staff with 94% of members voted to strike.
