7. Strike Discussion : Reps reported that members leave the union then re-join after the strike is over. Members are fed up with this happening. A. Finney to put a resolution up at next branch covering this. • Trying to get the membership to come out on another 48 hour strike would be difficult and the membership would bear the brunt of this. • P.H, V.T and B.OD all attended the meeting for reps at Unity house and all gave their opinion on what was said. • B.OD, was not happy at the way the negotiation team handled the strike and that he felt that there was a real lack of information and he was excluded from meetings. • A.F, Strongly disagreed with bill, he said that there was many meetings and members have had the opportunity to come to these meetings as they are open. • V.T, Bill is wrong and that indeed he had been invited to all the meetings. • K.S, At least 95% of members that she has spoken to said that the 2 year deal should have been brought back to the members. • A.M, We need to sort out the propaganda the public were not given enough information. • D.M, If we don’t stick up for redundancies now it will be the drivers next. • M.M, We should move on and stop arguing about who got invited to meetings and who never. • D.G, we should write to head office and ask why we never got asked if we wanted the 2 year deal. • A.F, The regional council meetings are open to everyone and if members want to get their point across they are welcome to attend. • M.C, Not happy that unity house did not print the propaganda leaflets for the public, instead of emailing and reps asked to print them off themselves. • R.G, I’m not an activist but I can’t afford to go on strike. I think they called the strike too early and it seems that the service was not that disrupted. I think the threat of a strike is better than actually going on strike. • A.M, A real lack of communication a lot of staff thought that the strike was over 2 Victoria line drivers. • M.M, members were thinking of leaving the union before the Monday, As soon as the strike was called members were saying that they didn’t want to go on strike. • J.L, thought that the strike was quite effective. She thought that the bullying and harassment should be focused on and the pay will sort itself out. • M.C, At the strike committee meeting on Monday no more strike dates were announced, until all avenues have been exhausted.

8. Reports; B.Od informed the branch that the ex east London line drivers at Leytonstone had received their nomination forms. Some drivers were happy to go elsewhere. Bill said that the roster at Leytonstone would be cut even after the ex east London drivers had gone.
