The latest membership figures for RMT in the London Transport region show that workers are joining the union at the rate of over 60 per week.

We had 12,950 members in the Region on 30 April 2009, increasing to 13,146 by 31 May and 13,306 by 18 June.

These figures show that London's transport workers want to join a union with a reputation of fighting for its members' interests, and are responding to the union's organising agenda. If we continue to stand up effectively for workers, and step up our organising activities, the union will grow even more, and we will all be stronger.
