Dispute arises as bosses' plan to cut 'train prep' schedule continues

TRAIN PREPARATION SCHEDULE - LONDON UNDERGROUND (LUL/14/10)

Further to my previous Circular (IR/228/18, 10th May 2018), the Company has now been advised that a dispute situation exists over its unacceptable proposal to increase the Fleet train preparation schedule from every 24 hours to every 96 hours. Despite our best efforts, the Company has failed to engage in any meaningful consultation with RMT in line with our agreements and to further exacerbate the situation I understand a trial of the new arrangements is planned for April 2019.

As always, we remain available for talks aimed at resolving this dispute and I will keep Branches advised of all further developments.

Yours sincerely,

Mick Cash
General Secretary
